It has been an incredible year. We have pursued so many freshmen it is hard to count. That has been the best part for me, showing Christ’s love through surprising kids that are supposed to be obeying upperclassmen by having juniors and seniors serve breakfast to them and offer them rides. I’ve realized that this is how my leaders are trying to serve me. I used to be constantly worried that I was bothering my leaders by hanging around them or annoying them with calls late in the night. But when I started leading my freshman girls and one of them mad a comment about me probably not wanting to drive them everywhere, I realized my fears about my own leaders couldn’t be farther from the truth. I couldn’t wait to drive these girls around. I wanted to hear all about their days, their friends, about anything they were willing to tell me about. It was such a realization that this was how my God felt about me. He can’t wait to hear all the silly, strange, joyful, heartbreaking things about my life. He will never be tired of me, He will never be annoyed with me. And that is pretty incredible.
