It's hard to believe, but after a long summer Young Life has returned in Frisco! Official Young Life activity for the fall semester kicked off yesterday with our annual Freshman Kidnap event for Centennial, Frisco, and Liberty High School. Every year, upperclassmen surprise, wake up, and kidnap incoming freshman to welcome them to the Frisco Young Life family. Many upperclassmen who participated in kidnapping incoming freshmen this year were kidnapped themselves close to two years ago. On Thursday and Friday this week, we treated 150 incoming freshman to doughnuts, new friendships, and maybe forced a few of them into the pool. Freshman Kidnap is just one of exciting traditions that kids have begun and grown themselves with the help of their volunteer leaders over the years in Frisco. I can't wait to share more of the these traditions with you as the fall semester rolls on. I want to leave you with a quick collage from the three Freshman Kidnaps that happened all around Frisco. From left to right: Centennial, West Frisco High Schools, and Liberty.
