"I'll be back every week, I've gotta be a part of this."
This was what the end of one of my conversations with my long time friend and new Frisco Young Life leader, Drew told me after the first club he visited last week. The energy at club was electric and Drew really caught a vision for what club was all about. Afterward, we talked about what it would look like for him to be a volunteer leader and now he's a part of a sweet community of Young Life leaders here in Frisco.
We've had a lot of great conversations like this recently. A lot of new volunteer leaders have joined us in chasing after high school kids in hopes that they might meet Jesus. What's been fun about the process of recruiting new leaders is seeing how quickly they take to simply being around our high school friends.
Though we may not have come together as friends outside of Young Life, what makes the community of Young Life leaders so great is how quickly we've all become friends as we serve together. We're united in our love for Jesus and the way we care about high school kids; it makes it easy to become fast friends.
There's a lot of excitement around Young Life in Frisco, a lot of new energy and a lot of great people coming around to be a part of what the Lord is doing! Here's a picture of our friend Sydney, a new leader for freshman girls at Centennial High School after a trip to Bahama Bucks. This is just one of the many new leaders that have locked arms with us to pursue high school kids here in Frisco.
