Young Life Club finally returned to Frisco this past Monday with a rowdy All-Area get-together at Providence Church. It was great to see old and new faces and serve alongside our volunteer leaders again to put together a great club that kept kids talking even after the fun was over. The first club back after a long break is always welcome and this club was no different!
Taylor gave the club talk and told our friends about Levi the tax collector came to know Jesus. We learned that tax collectors weren’t particularly well-liked folks because of how they cheated people out of their money. Levi was just trying to get by; looking out for himself because his own wants because they were what was most important. He just didn’t fit in with other folks. Taylor told our high school friends to consider that maybe they had their own ways of ‘collecting taxes’ as well – doing all kinds of things just to fit in. Jesus loves them in the middle of it and is calling them out of that life!
At the end of club, we were able to surprise our friends with 300 Krispy Kreme Donuts. What a great way to end an awesome night.
Thanks so much for reading! This semester, there will be several ‘guest’ posters – I can’t wait for you to hear their part of this awesome story.
I want to leave you with some pictures from club. I hope you enjoy them!
